welcome to my gallery

This fine art gallery shows a broad range of my contemporary paintings, landscapes, seascapes, flowers, mixed media artworks, ocean paintings, bas-reliefs, sculptures and acrylic works on paper.  My artworks are colourful, decorative and original, also most affordable.

With each piece I give a short artist statement (some with tongue-in-cheek comments), so as to give some insight into the ideas associated with the creation artwork.

This website also provides a broad range of other art related information, such as different art theories, artistic approaches and the benefits visual arts offer.

You can also find here useful advice and tips for art students, emerging artists and art collectors.

If you want to find out more about the artistic process and discover various approaches to creativity, please feel free to explore this site.

If you have any questions or comments, please email me.

I also list links to fellow artists whose work I admire and to other relevant art related websites.

As a contemporary artist I create artworks which celebrate the wonders of Nature, nourish the human spirit, and provide enjoyment, stimulation and a touch of magic to our lives ... see ideas and artist manifesto.

I live in Sydney and I prefer to use bright, happy and vibrant "Australian" colours, creating paintings influenced by my environment including aspects of  Aboriginal art culture.

I was born in Budapest, but left Hungary in 1956 to escape the Stalinist communist regime.  Having settled in my new Australian homeland, I started painting in 1970 while working as an Architect ... read about me and my art practice.

The artists I admire most include van Gogh, Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock, Paul Cezanne, Kandinsky, Picasso, Turner, Monet, and the best of the Australian indigenous artists ...  read about the artists I admire

Publications -- Read one of the many magazine articles published about my work -- for example Wilderness by Design, reproduced here from the art magazine Artist's Palette edition No. 29.

Discounted artworks are available most of the time, please discuss availability and prices.

My artworks are also available on loan for trying out in your own home or office for 7 days or other longer periods by arrangement.

I am often asked by art students and emerging artists for advice.  Here is a short selection of tips and suggestions, also some free advice under "master's tips"

I offer private art tuition to selected students.  Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
